I've just completed my first official year of teaching at Westside High School in Macon, GA. I taught 9th, 10th, and 11th graders in American Government, World Geography, World History, and U.S. History. Before that, I was a paraprofessional at Northside High School in Warner Robins, GA for 3 years in the Special Education department, specifically working with GNETS and Interrelated students. I worked a substitute teacher for over a year before becoming a paraprofessional. So you can definitely say that I've worn a few hats in the classroom over the years, which I believed has taught me a lot as an educator. I'm currently pursuing my Masters of Teaching in Special Education from Georgia College and State University. Working in Special Education has always felt like home to me since I started working as an educator. I attribute that to my mother, who has been teaching in Special Education for over 20 years.
